Successful Kick-Off of the IRTG-BrainVasc

On 23 July 2026, the IRTG-BrainVasc of CRC 1744 "Compartmentalized Cellular Networks in Neurovascular Disease" officially launched its training program with a successful Kick-Off Meeting at the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research (ISD).

The event brought together doctoral researchers and members of the Executive Board to introduce the IRTG-BrainVasc, its structured training program, and the opportunities it offers throughout the PhD journey.

A highlight of the afternoon was the interactive introduction round, where participants exchanged their research interests and got to know each other. The meeting also included the election of the doctoral representatives and an open discussion on future soft skills courses and training activities.

The Kick-Off concluded with an informal networking session over finger food and refreshments, providing an excellent opportunity to connect across research groups and lay the foundation for a collaborative and inspiring IRTG community.

We would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to making the Kick-Off such an engaging and successful event. We look forward to an inspiring first year of IRTG-BrainVasc and many exciting scientific and personal exchanges to come.
