Individual career coaching for early career scientists provided by Viola K. Kraus

One of the main goals of IRTG-BrainVasc is to empower early-career researchers to develop greater autonomy and self-determination on their path toward becoming independent researchers. To support this goal, we are pleased to announce that we are offering individual career coaching for early-career scientists.
Career coaching aims to provide holistic career development support that focuses on identifying and utilizing your strengths, developing strategies to overcome potential challenges, and realizing your personal ambitions and goals. The coaching will be provided by professional career consultant Viola K. Kraus (www.viola-kraus.com).
What can I discuss in the career coaching?
Discussion topics could include:
• personal and professional growth
• definition of personal and career goals
• tools for better decision-making
• and much more…
Who is eligible?
Doctoral researchers of the IRTG-BrainVasc program.
Each eligible person can book up to two 1-hour coaching sessions in the first instance.
How does it work?
IRTG-BrainVasc has purchased a limited number of coaching sessions with Viola K. Kraus. You can make an individual appointment by writing directly to her (kraus@viola-kraus.com). Please mention your SFB1744/IRTG-BrainVasc affiliation so that she can check that you are on the list of eligible members. Then you will have nothing more to do than enjoying your session with Viola.
You do not have to inform the IRTG-BrainVasc coordination team or anyone else. Your sessions are thus anonymous with respect to your supervisor, lab colleagues, the coordination team, etc. Of course, if you have feedback about the coaching, we would be very happy to hear it, but this is entirely optional.
If you would like to know more, please contact Melanie Salvermoser (melanie.salvermoser@med.uni-muenchen.de)
